Golf & Biking
George and the Garden Route have become a golf mecca on the continent.
George Golf Course, Colin’s personal favorite, is regularly rated in the top 10 in South Africa, and due to our excellent weather conditions, this stunning park-lands course is playable year-round.
Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate boasts 3 of the best courses in the country and was home to the President’s Cup 2003 and the first Women’s World Cup of Golf during February 2005.
Some of the other courses in the area include the wind-swept course in Mossel Bay, to the harsh dry, semi-desert conditions in Oudtshoorn and then the majestic views of Pezula and Simola Golf Estates in Knysna. It is possible to experience a range of different climates and courses within an hours drive from us.
Some of the newer courses on offer include – Ernie Els’ Oubaai Golf Estate, the world-famous Pinnacle Point Golf Estate in Mossel Bay, Simola Golf Course in Knysna and Kingswood Golf Course in George.
Our staff can arrange advance bookings at most of the golf courses, which have become essential during the peak summer seasons from November to April each year.
